Good photo…but the subject is very strange for me.

Thank you Birgit.
Why is the subject strange for you?

Hello!
Maybe it is strange for me, because I do not believe in God ….and a hanging man on a great crucifix is a very aggressive symbol ….
I can not explain my thoughts about religion, because my English is very bad and I am not able to express my thoughts because that really would take hours for me.
Have a good and peaceful day!

Yes, you’re right. It has something very aggressive.
Though I thought the motive also strange, because the statue was leaning against the veranda.
I wish you a happy weekend!

How does this picture have anything to do with food?

I am reminded of my first wife’s family (Romanian) who evoked images such as this all the time. They were food oriented, very rural.

Ah, okay. Now I get your connection 🙂
The picture was taken in Moldova, by the way. Not too far from the Romanian border.

This is a great picture. I almost missed the crucifix that blends into the the colour of the image.

An intriguing & powerful image. The stark washed out colour can be interpreted as death of sacred natural space being sacrificed for human consumption or if you have a strong negative reaction to the religious icon you might see it a spreading blight of ideology. This just emphasize hoe effectively you have used the strong archetypal imagery in your art to create a thought provoking composition. 🙂

Thank you very much for your words.
I liked the motive as well, when I found it – and think there are different ways how to see/interpret it.

Very striking and rather unsettling. I was glad I read down the comments to see it was a found juxtaposition! Your work is excellent.

Yes, sometimes, when you step away from the main path, you will find the most incredible things. And I was very lucky when I walked towards the woods from the monastery.
