I have opened up the vaults: In 2007 I became serious about digital photography and image processing. As I was going though some of the pictures I took back then, I noticed that some of them I really liked. These pictures are either deeply hidden on this website, or were never published at all. Therefore I decided to create and Archive Series to show some of the old works. 07 08 09 10 11 12 is the first part and covers the early years. During that time I experimented a lot with image processing because working digitally gave me a chance to manipulate photos and it was interesting to see that you could entirely change the atmosphere or create a completely new picture altogether.
Here I would also like to inform you that the continuation of the series is a bit uncertain. The reason is that my publisher wants to publish authors with a first and last name only – and I’m simply rabirius. I was told that some bookshops don’t stock books anymore if the authors don’t have a first and a last name. (I’m curious if they would publish an autobiography by Cher or Madonna. They don’t seem to have a last name as well. 🙂 )
Anyway, the book is now available in book shops in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Certainly, you can also order it online. Stores like Amazon, Bücher.de or Bol have it in stock now. An e-Book version will follow as well in due time.
Before I show you some example pages, I would like to point out that my latest book States of Being still is available. You can find it in books stores around Germany, Austria and Switzerland and in all the online book stores. Also, Amazon seems to sell it internationally now, so you will find it on Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.fr and others as well.

A good start to what promises to be a fascinating series. The man in the hat sporting a poppy is most thought provoking. What on earth is the publisher’s problem with the name!!

Thank you, Derrick.
Well, they told me that some online shops wouldn’t list the book due to the missing last name.
I think they could have mentioned it and ask me if I was still willing to use my name like that. After all, the book is available in all the major online stores, so I don’t even know the stores where you cannot buy it. 🙂

How about I. Am. Rabirius? I am certain they would publish ‘Chere’.

Thanks for the tip. Well, the problem is with the listings – and here and there I would become two authors and my books would be listed under two names.

I understand, I was only being conversational. Or just annoyingly silly, in the face of people being annoyingly silly. You need an agent that is not.
This bit on silly agents made me laugh ( and we could all use a laugh).

Excellent. That is very cool. I’m with Kioratash on the name if two names are required to carry a book.

Congratulations. How about going with Rabirius Rabirius and working a visual echo into the cover design.

Well, actually, I would be listed as two authors there and there…
…so this would probably make everything more confusing. 🙂

Can you be rabirius rabirius? Like Robert Roberts.
It sounds like a ridiculous rule to me.

Well, I don’t really want to give myself some last name, as I’m already listed as rabirius. It would mean that I become two authors. 🙂

Best wishes. Never heard the two name thing.

Thank you, John.
Yes, the name thing is stupid. There are quite a few authors with a first name only.

Hi, Rabirius. Congratulations! The fact that authors need a first and last name is really strange!! Best of luck on your new book.

Well, as far as I can find out, some internet shops have the requirement. Stupid technology. 🙂

Oooohhhhh. I both want it (and the first one) and don’t want extra stuff in my house. Wish there were a local library I could buy for and donate. (No library here). Will think about it.

I just looked and saw that at least States of Being is available from Amazon in Australia. I also just noticed I got a review there. 🙂
Not sure when the new one will be available in Australia.

Congrats & best of luck to you. I haven’t had experience (yet) with publishers, but for sake of social media & for same reason, I hyphenated my first name…

Well, I still consider options for the continuation of the series and a new book. But the other options I have don’t really have a good distribution. I will see how I go about it.
