So very fun, rabirius. Good thing the octopus garden is enclosed with a rock wall, they’re pretty robust!

Your imagination rabirius is something to behold. Octopus might actually be a good analogy – all those provocative limbs eager to embrace who knows what next.

Well, the basis is a montage of several photos. Then I produced three different layers (colour, monochrome and paint-over) and blend them together.

The fact that the octopus has a garden makes this a treasure.

Well, where I live land is quite expensive. But in other areas, why not? 🙂

Hell good, a driver need to be to get past this giant. Or, you need to call someone Chinese to make a soup of this creativity.🙂

I’ve looked for Ringo Starr in the picture but haven’t found him. According to Wikipedia: “The idea for the song came about when Starr was on a boat belonging to comedian Peter Sellers in Sardinia in 1968. He ordered fish and chips for lunch, but instead of fish he got squid (it was the first time he’d eaten squid, and he said, ‘It was OK.’” That reminds me of my experience in Lisbon in the summer of 1966. From the menu in a restaurant I ordered lulas, not knowing what the Portuguese word means. Even after the dish came I still didn’t recognize it. Only later, when I checked a dictionary, did I learn it was squid.

Well, Ringo is probably already inside the garden. But you can at least see a Beetle. 🙂
But interesting fact. I didn’t know where the inspiration for the song came from.

Looks to me as if the artist is getting depressed. So dark!
Nobody else notices?
Everybody needs to get out into some sunshine!
(Is that terribly rude of me to say?)

Well, I would go out into the sun, if we had any. Over here it is mostly dark for half the year…
…but spring is coming soon!

I say if you are going through octopus garden territory just ride straight through without stopping. I see one guy has been plucked off his motorcycle and is now on top of the octopus’s head. While another interpretation is that this is some kind of roadside curiosity and the guy climbed up there. Wonderful creativity whatever the case might be!

Well, you cannot be too careful, when you see a suspicious wall right beside you. 🙂
