It’s been a while since my last post, but that doesn’t mean I’ve been inactive as an artist. Over the past months, I’ve been working on a new series of images that I’ll be sharing here soon. I’ve also been busy with the upcoming mockART album, created from material we recorded during last year’s live show — among other projects.

Today, though, I’m excited to announce that my works are part of several exhibitions, and I’d love to meet you there!

The Wild Within

The Wild Within puts the relationship between nature and civilization to the test.
In these images, animals wander through urban landscapes, cities are reclaimed by nature, and humans rediscover their animal side. The series reminds us that we do not exist outside of nature: even concrete and steel are created from its resources. Here, the wild reclaims its space and blurs the boundary between the artificial and the organic, between human and animal, between what we call culture and what we define as nature.

Divine Encounters in Homberg (Ohm)

I’m happy to announce that a selection of works from my Gods and Goddesses series will be on display in Homberg (Ohm) as part of the kunstHALTESTELLEN – a unique outdoor art project founded by Sandra Y. Jacques.

I first discovered the kunstHALTESTELLEN while hiking near Homberg (Ohm) and was immediately fascinated by the idea of presenting art in public spaces, accessible to everyone at any time. After reaching out to Sandra, she kindly invited me to take part.

The kunstHALTESTELLEN are information stations that serve as a public, free, open-air gallery, presenting art around the clock. Since their launch in May 2025, they have brought new artistic life to the town’s historic centre. Each installation remains on view for six months, with the artworks rotating between the six stations every month.

My works will be exhibited from November 15, 2025, moving to a new location around the 15th of each month until they have appeared at all six stations.

So if you visit Homberg (Ohm), take the opportunity to explore its charming old town, the castle, and the beautiful surrounding landscape — and, of course, to encounter a touch of the divine along the way.

My work is currently displayed at “Kreisverkehr” – but they will move from Haltestelle to Haltestelle. Click here find the find out where the Gods and Goddesses are on display now.

The Grande Finale

I’m delighted to return to Nebbiensches Gartenhaus in Frankfurt as part of the group exhibition Grande Finale, presented by the Frankfurter Künstlerclub.

As every year, this pre-Christmas group show marks the conclusion of the club’s exhibition season. Each member has the opportunity to present new works from the past year — fresh “out of the studio” — to an interested audience.

Visitors are warmly invited to enjoy the festive atmosphere in this beautiful garden house and perhaps find inspiration — or even the perfect gift — for themselves or someone special.

You asked me to post a few pictures from the exhibition and I would like to start with a picture of the Nebbiensches Gartenhaus, a neoclassical summer house located in a park in Frankfurt. This is the venue where you can still see views | interrupted, the exhibition by Sonja Ackermann, Christian Rocas and me.

The Soundtrack

But before I show you some more pictures, I would like to introduce you to the soundtrack that I recorded for the exhibition with my band mockART.

We – the visual artists involved in the project – all made a picture on the same themes. So we – mockART in this case – took the same themes and converted them into music for the exhibition. Two of the tracks I like to introduce to you here:

You can still get the album at the exhibition, but if you cannot attend, you can also buy it on Bandcamp as CD and download. You can also stream it on the most common streaming platforms, like Spotify or iTunes.

The Setup

Now that you are in the mood musically, I will show you a few pictures I took on my mobile phone (therefore they are a bit on the low quality side. But let me assure you, that what you perceive as dirt really is a shadow!), right before the opening.

You probably remember some of the pictures, that I have already posted here. You can also see some of the paintings by Sonja Ackermann as well as some of the photographs taken by Christian Rocas.

You might wonder about the lines you see that connect the pictures with each other. As we really wanted our artworks to connect with each other, we decided to hang them in a way that they fit together as an ensemble. Therefore the pictures are not sorted by artist or theme. We created the grey line that goes around the room. From the grey line, coloured lines go straight up to the pictures and indicate the theme. We also selected traffic signs that were assigned to the themes as well as signs that indicate which artist created which one of the artworks.

We distributed cards (see above) with a table that indicates the meaning of the traffic signs and the colours. Also we included the table as a poster in the exhibition and connected it to the grey line that goes around the room.

It may sound a bit complicated, but we noticed that the visitors are really having fun with the system. It allows them to explore the exhibition in different ways and experience it individually.

More and more people move to the cities. They get bigger. More crowded. More stressful.

Therefore it is important to escape to the countryside – at least for a short while – to enjoy open space, fresh air, slow pace and stunning views.

My photographic work deals a lot with opposites. Three years ago, I explored Urban Life at Switchboard. Now, returning with a new exhibition, it is time to get out of the city and explore the countryside.

land.escape focuses on open spaces that you only find in the countryside. From the dark woods, over sunny planes to the open sea, I will illustrate the beauty of nature and its mood swings caused by changes of light.

You are invited to meet me at the opening at 7:00 pm on June 6^th, at  Switchboard, Alte Gasse 36, 60313 Frankfurt, Germany. The pictures will be shown till August 1^st.

Our cities are changing. On one hand modern structures are build, on the other hand the historic centres are reconstructed. Modernity meets nostalgia. Out cites are also a place where different people live together in a narrow space without having many points of contact. As a result, subcultures start to emerge that can influence each other, or build up their very own worlds.

These contrast are also absorbed by art that creates new forms of expression, or looks back at the olden days. It is influenced by many subcultures and converts them to its own language. The artist can change, deform and distort urban life.

If you follow my blog you know I visited several cities and travelled from Frankfurt via Berlin, Copenhagen, Paris, Madrid and Skopje to Istanbul, Batumi and Almaty. The new exhibition shows these cities, their inhabitants and the urban life how I have seen it. From the outside and the inside. On a personal level, or as a tourist. Estranged, misplaced, broken and newly assembled.

The exhibition starts on July 28th, at Switchboard, Alte Gasse 36, 60313 Frankfurt, Germany. The pictures will be shown till late October.
