    Hi Rabirius,

There is something in this photo that gives me the chills. It reminds of a horror movie….

      …yes, I wanted it to be a bit darkish…
…though the gnome is just a garden gnome – so you don’t need to be afraid, I guess 🙂

Heh. I’ve got one of those guys on the balcony as well.

I’ve always thought that a photo that makes one feel something is a good photo.

          Yes, I think so too.

Snowpartridge: some faerie tales have cruelty in them and something sinisters as well…..

…well, most of them do – I think we just trend to blend it out and see it as part of some other world outside of reality – but just imagine being baked (Hansel and Gretel), eaten by a wolf (Little Red Riding Hood) or hacking off part of your foot so your shoes fit (Cinderella).

Hey! I saw this guy roaming the forest up in Estes Park, Colorado. Just kidding.

When I visited Colorado some 20 years ago there were still bears roaming the bushes – interesting to know how things can change 🙂

Actuly bear sitings still happen in foothill communities and forest area’s. However, I have never seen a wild bear in nature. Even after years of climbing and hiking the mountains of Colorado & California.

Well, when I was small I spend some time in the wilderness of the Rockies in Colorado as a part of an exchange program.
One day I was stepping through the bushes and there was a bear standing directly in front of me. I was really fascinated and was just staring at the animal and then it ran away.
But I also saw some bear or other in a distance here and there.

Brilliant processing… gotta watch out for those garden gnomes!

      Thank you.
…yes, you better be careful. Here they have especially taken over the front gardens in the outskirts of bigger cities.

Love the effect you’ve achieved with the trees and then the gnome … I don’t see him as scary, just incongruous – especially with that cheeky grin. Weird but wonderful!

Thank you very much for the nice compliment, Safia.
