    I find this one disturbing – no doubt someone’s intention. So it is effective, but sad.

      Yes, it is somewhat disturbing and sad, but as you said, also effective and that is what I liked about the motive.

      Actually, I’m not sure who he is. But he was by the Royal Palace in Brussels, so he might also have something to do with Belgium’s history.

      Not exactly. But in Brussels, which is more or less the political centre of Europe, a lot of statues were “crying blood” or had gas masks on…
      …so it must be political activism.
