Well, there are a lot of bikes in the Netherlands, but I had the feeling that they were riding with care…
…in Germany I experienced more crazy bikers, even though there are not as many. 🙂-

Yes, they most likely do.
The best place fore biking I actually found was Denmark. It is very friendly towards bikers. But the in the Netherlands it is good too. -
In the smaller towns, I’ve found the Swiss automobile drivers to be very respectful of bikes sharing the same roads…but tourist bike riders need to do a bit of online research to understand that tricky interface between motorised vehicles and bicycles on shared roads. Might be the same for every country.

Most likely.
However, I encountered many bikers riding though desert and mountainous countries where people are not used to bikes on the road at all. I think that is pretty dangerous. -
I hear that–had that same experience in the United States about ten years ago.
