It had been so long ago that there was more covered by the dry dusty sands of the Desert of the Forgotten than what her ancient mind was presenting to her, but what she saw and felt in her mind’s eyes as yet another nameless, faceless nurse wheeled her into the sunlight pouring into her window, would be all she needed to carry with her to Forever: the softness of the back of her Grandmother’s otherwise rough hands as she wrapped her own tiny hands around them to smell the pretty flower in those loving, teaching, strong and gentle hands.
