A new take on Adam and Eve?
-
Well, actually yes. Originally I wanted to use a worm as the parasite. But I didn’t find any pictures of a worm in my photos, and then, the next best thing was a snake. Therefore I got the idea to mix in some creation myths with my original idea.

There’s an old riddle I remember from childhood: What’s worse than finding a worm in an apple? The answer is “half a worm,” the implication being that you’ve just eaten the other half.

Yes, you’re right…
…I had the experience with a plum last autumn. 🙂

The snake is always with you

Well, sometimes. 🙂

I wonder if they will live happily ever after…. 😉
-
It is like in the fairytales. They stop with a happy ending, but you don’t know what will come after that. 🙂

You have the snake as a perfect sign of parasitic hypnotics .. coming between the real energy which is love.
Have a perfect weekend my friend. 🎄💚🎄-
Thanks a lot, Sue.

Love bites. Poor snakes have gotten a bad rap. The image, title and message all work perfectly.

Thanks a lot. I’m glad you like it.

There’s a lot to think about in this great piece.

Yes, I worked with a lot of symbols.
Thank you, Jan.

ooh my First Nation friends claim it would have been a very different outcome if they’d been Adam and Eve … the snake would have been eaten and the apple left!
-
Yes, snakes are seen differently in different cultures. 🙂
-
highly symbolic 🙂
-
Yes, as I like to be sometimes. 🙂

As snakes shed their skin through sloughing…some say they are symbols of rebirth, transformation, immortality, and healing…a symbol of eternity and continual renewal of life…seems so fitting to me with what you have created Rabirius 🤓😎🤍🕊sending joy hedy

Thank you, Hedy.
I guess snakes are seen differently in different cultures. It would be interesting to explore that a bit more.

Modern day, Adam and Eve. Also takes on new meaning in the pandemic, I think. Lots to consider in your creations, Rabirius. Excellent work, as always. Have a great holiday!
-
Thanks a lot, Jane. I also hope that you are having great holidays.

Interesting, but I find the twist painful. Your work always moves me one way or another. I liked Hedy’s take on shedding the skin. In any case, to be moved is to live.
Happy Holidays Dear Sir.-
Thank you.
The idea for the picture was taken from a song, so I tried to transform it into a picture.

This is so creative! The modern version of Adam and Eve! I absolutely loved the abstract to touch to it. I am a great admirer of abstract art and therefore feel that this is a great image!!!!
