Not only brilliant colours, with the eyes widely spaced, but also I love the way you’ve created the illusion of a never-ending backcloth to the peacock’s head and neck.
-
Thank you very much.
I was lucky that the peacock was posing long enough to try out different things how to photograph it.Greetings,
rabirius.

These are amazing creatures I think. Great photo 🙂
-
Yes, they are.
Thank you very much for the compliment, Peter.
Very exquisite capture, excellent balance of imagery, even if the “weight” tends leftward, the colours within the idea are compensating the equilibrium.
-
Thank you very much.
Luckily the peacock was posing for a long time – so I could try out some “new” ways to photograph it.
Beautiful! Love the colors. 🙂

Thank you, Elena.
so full of colour!
the males just look proud and magnificent when they fan their feathers like that.
-
Thank you.
Yes, and they are always a bit difficult to photograph as a whole – and so I had to come up with other ideas.
-
i have tried a couple of times photographing them without much success, they simply refused to fan open when you want them to, no matter what i try – frustration : (
-
I know, you have to have some luck. But I noticed that when they fan open, it is quite hard to photograph them.
But you can also try to photograph them otherwise – in fact, my very first blog post was a peacock that wouldn’t fan open. If you like to take a look you will find the peacock here.-
thanks, rabirius.
