magnificent and good composition
Thank you very much, Marylou.
Nice shot – camera was probably at a similar elevation, I suppose.
Woah, hi there Eric. Maybe this blogosphere isn’t as large as my imagination pictures it after all: I follow a bunch of random links and see your smiling face!
@OP: great picture!

Hello C – no, blogosphere is not that large 🙂
Thank you, Eric.
Yes, it was a bit higher up. We then had to walk down and up again to get to that village.
rabirius, a colorful visual of a city touching the sky. Exceptional work.
I’m happy you like it, Lance.
I do, rabirius. Thank you.
Dare to reach for sky… great reminder!
Well, up there you’re at least closer. 🙂
Thank you, Peter. I’m glad you like it.
Oh so wonderful I’d love to be there 🤓💫
Sicily is amazing. And all the slopes around the Etna are fantastic for walks. 🙂
Wow! And I thought I had a steep driveway! 😁 amazing shot!
I was walking up there – and I’m not sure I would like to do it by car. 🙂
Thank you, Linda.
This is super cool 🙂
Thank you, Joshi.
Sehr schöne Aufnahme, danke Dir!
Vielen Dank, Ernst.
What a beautiful place!
Yes, it really was beautiful there. Thank you.

Thanks for reblogging.
Pretty picture. But what could have taken the early settlers there, instead of settling at the bottom. Nicer views? Because early settlements normally tended to be where water was available. Availability at the bottom of the mountain was much more likely.
Thank you, Ankur.
I’m not sure why it was build on the rock – but I can imagine that it was a good position for protection.
Very beautiful picture, I am going to reblog this for you.
Thank you for your compliments and for reblogging my picture. I really appreciate it.
