      Yes, it was a bit higher up. We then had to walk down and up again to get to that village.

    Pretty picture. But what could have taken the early settlers there, instead of settling at the bottom. Nicer views? Because early settlements normally tended to be where water was available. Availability at the bottom of the mountain was much more likely.
