About

Meet rabirius, the lens maestro behind the artistic tapestry that seamlessly weaves digital artistry and photography. The journey began unexpectedly when a gallerist stumbled upon my holiday snapshots, sparking an invitation to showcase them at her gallery. Little did I know, that moment would be the genesis of a continuous exploration into the realms of visual art.

From those humble beginnings, I’ve fervently cultivated my craft, venturing into the intricate world of composites and diverse post-processing techniques. This digital playground extends beyond images; it’s a canvas for experimentation with travel reports, artist interviews, and various post formats. Yet, at its core, the focus remains on visual art and the evolution of my artistic expression.

But, hold on, my artistic endeavours don’t stop at visual art alone. I wear multiple hats, with one of them being the musical experimentation with my band, mockART. Occasionally, I even attempt to harmonise the visual and auditory realms.

Since that first exhibition, doors have opened to contribute to further art shows, solo exhibitions, and collaborative projects. In 2022, a significant collaboration unfolded with Sonja Ackermann and Christian Rocas, igniting a passion for future artistic ventures together.

If you’re intrigued or just want to connect, feel free to drop a message or find me on social media (links at the bottom of the page). Let’s continue this artistic journey together!

  5. Starting to feel a little self-conscious that superior artists can view posts with my shabby photography skills on display. Thanks so much for coming by – I am challenged to work a little harder each day by seeing your portfolio here. Wonderfully interpreted and recreated environments and ideas.

…well, I just try to see a different perspective of a thing – and I think this is the most important trick when creating art.

  7. I enjoy your explorations and experiments, and look forward to seeing where they take you. It seems to me that digital manipulations such as yours is a legitimate evolution at this stage in the art of photography. I’m getting tired of saturated sunsets at the ocean’s edge.

    • …well, I always like to try out things – and at some point I got the idea to work with complimentary layers – of cause, the technique grows more and more complex – and I am also curious where it takes me…

Thank you a lot for the nice compliment!

      Greetings,
      rabirius.
