Wonderful python photo. It looks like a carpet python, but I can’t say for sure.
Thank you, Timothy.
I don’t know what kind of python this is – but if I find out, I’ll let you know.

Wow! It’s not often we can see the scales of a snake’s skin, this is so beautiful, Rabirius.
Thank you, Jet. I’m glad you like it.
I understand that met on your way?
Yes, I met him/her during a stroll through the local zoo.
Here we only have very small snakes, and they are usually shy and well hidden.
And I already thought that he met him on his way, but it was good at the zoo
Though I think they are not poisonous, and this one was not too big…
…so I guess it would have been fine. 🙂
It was good that everything was over
Yes, it sometimes is.
Trussst in me, jussst in me
Shut your eyesss and trussst in me
You can sssleep sssafe and sssound
Knowing I am around …
Snap out of it!
You surely know your Jungle Books. 🙂
Yikes! You DO get up close to larger snakes! …. Your picture’s title did not prepare me….
…well, therefore I posted a picture today, that shows exactly what the title says. 🙂
Marvelous shot. Where was this taken if I might ask?
Well, it was taken at the local zoo. So, nothing exotic. 🙂
And there was I, thinking you had been having a ”David Attenborough” moment after trekking through the Borneo jungle!
Could be interesting to explore a jungle…
…tough also a bit scary, I guess.
Gorgeous ans excellent
Thank you, Marylou.
he is watching me !
Then watch out! 🙂
Fine work and photography, rabirius.
Thank you, Lance.
You’re very welcome, rabirius.
Long lens (I hope)
Not so much. But the snake was behind glass. 🙂
Yikes! Great detail for goodness snakes! I’m not a snake fan – so happy it’s in the zoo. I don’t ever anticipate going for a stroll in an Amazon Jungle at dusk.
Well, I would go to the jungle. Maybe not running around there by myself – but I think it can be interesting.
Ok. I’ll go with you.
