Stunning composition Rabirius! It is almost like someone has knocked the section of wall down just get at at that magnificent view of the mountains! I like the scenery in the middle distance, too, nicely balanced and really very pleasing for the eye to wander on this journey!

Yes, the Greeks and Romans knew how to build things to last.
Sadly a lot of these old cities where destroyed when the builders of the new cities harvested the stones.

Who painted it? I mean, there is no way that this is really real – the perfect gap in the perfect ruins for the perfect view of the perfect mountain……oh yes, in the perfect colors of a perfect somewhat-ominous-looking afternoon.
