Sorry to ask you, Rabirius, but do you use Photoshop for your image manipulations ?

Yes, I use Photoshop for the manipulations and Lightroom for some basic corrections.

Is it true to say that most professional photographers today use Photoshop in one way or another ?

Well, for working with photographs, Photoshop is the program with the most functions and there is no other program that can challenge that.
On the other had, it is very complex – and so I know a lot of photographers who use more simple programs. Though also things like Lightroom or Aperture get more and more popular for photographers that only do some basic corrections or RAW development.
I used to learn using Photoshop once and now other programs don’t have all the functions that I need 🙂
