Yes, it is “classical”, but Spring stays chilly and barren until well into May. I hated it. I now live in the Southwest, where it is Spring and SUMMER (HOT) all year round. Much better.

I think it is the sun goddess.
Though I took the photo in a baroque garden where you find a lot of statues that base on Greek/Roman mythology, I think in this case the origin is Germanic, because otherwise the sun should have been a man.
