    • Yes, I thought it was appropriate at the end of the year.
Tomorrow I will try to compose a montage of things I photographed this year – I hope I can build something interesting out of it. 🙂

  1. This feels like something new in your technology. You have leaned toward a feeling of photograph as painting with the aged texture of the surface. Since you already have the painter’s eye for composition, I find this a fascinating direction for you. Perhaps you would be interested in Roland Barthes’ take on photography at http://www.ninalp.com/bfarts/Media/Barthes_Photographic_Message.pdf Keep in mind Barthes is discussing pictures as language in a very broad way and not photography as art per se. He does have tremendous respect for the still photo but more from individual frames from movies like Potemkin than within the mass media. In any event, I admire greatly how you seem to go in many directions without loss of aesthetic concerns. Keep being you.

    • Thank you very much for the nice comment.
Yes, I always try to improve and develop – and now that I nearly have this blog for a year I noticed that I developed and improved my processing skills a lot – and hope to continue and develop in the next year.
I used some Barthes in my theses, back at the university…
…thanks for pointing out the article – I will have a look at it.
